As part of the Junior Member applicantion process, new members must submit an essay title “Why I Want to Be a Junior Member.” Every year, one deserving applicant is awarded the Joanna Nichols Essay Winner, and reads their impressive speech during the Miss/Mr. Solo Title Scholarship Competition.
