The Dance Masters of America, Inc. Certification by examinations are open to any prospective member(s) or current certified member(s) wishing to examine in any of the following subjects: Acrobatics, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Tap. CDM administers examinations at the Teacher Education Weekend and Winter Workshop.

The Dance Masters of America, Inc., Degreed Membership is open to any prospective member(s) that graduated from one or more of the approved institutions of higher education as published by DMA, and earned their four (4) year degree in a dance related major.

Dance Masters of America, Inc. Professional Membership is open to any prospective member(s) that have danced professionally for a period of not less than three (3) years in any of the following: On Broadway or off-Broadway production, in commercials, aboard a cruise line, at a theme park, or as a part of a touring industrial, national, or regional theatre or dance company, MTV video, etc.
